Bringing Twilight Forest animals to Overworld

Hey guys, i am a huge fan of the mindcrack server, and i have seen that Docm77 and others bring animals from the twilight forest to the overworld some how.
I also play FTB with the Mindcrack pack, and have tried picking animals up in the twilight, and dropping them into the portal and it did not work.
Is there a different way to do it?

Mystcraft portals should work.

no myscraft in mindcrack

You can use transformation powder on animals to turn them into their TF counterparts, however with things like the quest ram or naga the only way would be using MineFactory Reloaded which iirc isnt in mindcrack

i tried holding an animal with my portal gun and jumping into the portal. it gets them to the overworld, but they just dissapear after a few seconds
ive considered the transformation powder, but i want to get the little birds or squirls as well :/

You can always just spawn in a spawn egg for the creature and kill one in the twilight XD

i finally got it to work haha
after a while of jumping into the portal while holding the animal it finally worked

I set up a Portal Gun portal over a Mystcraft portal, and then used the other colour of the PG to drop them in.
