Hey guys.

I have an interesting problem, although I'm not sure whether it's just my incompetence or a bug. I use this design for a breeder (thought it up in science class, so I'm not sure if it's appropriate for what I need.) http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.blueyo...251y5safhqtf6hauluadwz11e5xoavkhd298vt4n95yps

I can't seem to make it actually produce Re-enriched uranium cells. It runs through the uranium cells, but it never changes the state of the depleted isotopes. Now, my question to you is whether or not that should be happening?

Thanks!

(I really hate java in browser...)

From what I understand, breeders need to be at high heat.

Your design produces 1 heat per second (according to the apply), so you would have to seriously heat it before hand.

Well, I am no expert on the subject though, but I just read the page on it on the wiki for someone else.
I hope that helps.

Hmm. When I check the breeding tab it says it would charge all of the cells in there. Or is that just how much it has the potential to charge?

When placed in a Nuclear Reactor, the Depleted Isotope Cell will recharge with different speeds depending on the reactor temperature. This means that if you want to make more Re-Enriched Uranium Cells you must heat up your reactor. Just don't let it get too hot (unless you like fire and lava and other hilarity!)

This suffix is for designs that also recharges isotope cells. Isotope cells charge up faster when the reactor runs hot, so heat management is important.

As I said, I am no expert in that domain, but it seems that your isotopes charge well only at high temperatures.

By keeping the constraints of a) no GregTech (so no thorium) and b) 16 cells charged at the same time:

If you are OK with having to change the charging cells more often (only 4 at a time, but each one is charged more than 4 times as fast):

This one is even below the "hurt" level.

For bulk breeding with just IC2 I use a design like this:

Runs at 30k+.
