Brainstorming a pack idea. For hardcore contemporary abstract survival on "mostly" peaceful.

I respect the FTB community quite a bit it seems a bit more netiquette friendly and mature than others first of all :) so I thought I would share these ideas here.

I was thinking of making a good survival megabuild pack for play on peaceful with some exploration options. I'm trying to think of better ways to make the game a bit harder in peaceful.

The base pack would work fine wihout the buildcraft or thermal expansion techmods but then in ssp it becomes a bit limited for large building projects. I know there are a lot of addons and IC2 which I left out. I feel like buildcraft by itself probably supplies all the utilities needed to make large copy/paste and custom big build structures.

I think surviving in peaceful while setting up/collecting/ and advancing through the tech trees to start that 'big city' or whatever should be fun with environmine, and pams harvesetcraft, i'm very torn about environmine physics if the focus would be megabuilding, i think environmine is a wonderful addon to almost any 'adventure' and 'survival' modpack. It becomes kind of overwhelming with glenns gasses though.

I also think wtf's harder mining mods would probably play very nicely along side enviromine or in place of + a thirst mod?

Terrafirmacraft is pretty good at making a very cool and interesting survival world, but it's a bit too realistic for me and I feel like it doesn't fit in as nicely with other mods.

The peaceful mods i would use are:
pams mob drop crops and peaceful plus. think that would take care of the majority of mob drops needed to progress tech in other mods.

The below pack could of course totally work great without pams. I might just end up disabling physics entirely from environmine in order to build freely. I never used environmine with anything like a builder/filler/quarry it might result in some interesting physics accidents lol.

I think ideally a larg custom built mcedit/world edit map with custom npcs and ... different places to explolore would be ideal to start in survival on (minus the world edit mods later after 'a large' map is create)

I get bored with combat fairy quickly but, sometimes its fun, so likely i'll just end up using peaceful plus and toggling peaceful (and not cheating with the peaceful plus recipes) for when i need/want more cool stuff for the other mods like (thaumcraft slime).

It's my understanding that with domobspawning=false, mob spawners in dungeons will still function properly?

1.7.10"

I could put in iguanatweaks too!

Most of this is already up and running on my old netbook pretty good :)

Another really good option is 'hard' mode with 'serverproperts.monster-spawning false' dont think this can be toggled in ssp, but isn't as complete as domobspawning gamerule leaves some mobs :)

Just another spawner would be cool too maybe, ive tried it several times, i still cant handle all the different configs though :(

*** so i went ahead and did this with iguana tweaks, and wtf tweaks and wtf cave biomes, disabled enviromine physics and torches. made rarirty of roguelike dungeons like 22% and just went with peaceful + so I can toggle between peaceful and hard without feeling too cheaty.

I like what I ended up with :)
