I have the maxed size steam boilers, a 3x3x5 and theres are liquiducts connected to 12 industrial steam engines. I have been told by the wiki that the boiler can easily support 18 engines but now my engines are only running at 3 mj/t with the exception of the first two closest engines giving me 8 mj/t. 10 engines are running on 3 mj/t and my boilers are at 450 degrees. IS there away to get my engines to give me more power?

How many liquiduct connections do you have on your boiler? I believe you need 9 to get the maximum steam from it.

Also, is it a high-pressure boiler? A low pressure boiler can only support 9 industrial engines.

yes it is a high pressure boiler and i only have 2 liquiducts attached to the boiler. I'll try attaching more.

Yeah. A high pressure boiler makes 720 mb/t, and each square section of boiler can only output 80 mb/t.

I've heard that using a powered liquiduct allows you to pull out more, but I don't know about that.

Yes, it does give you more.
I used to attach 9 liquiducts to get all the steam out. Now, I can just attach 4.

If this functionality still exists, it is classified as a 'bug' and will eventually be fixed. But basically, the powered output gives you the regular 80mb plus the powered 80mb together. Or at least it used to. I'm fairly certain this was fixed for 1.5.x though.

Alright. It's easy enough to test, so I'll confirm it later for 1.4.7.

I've found it far more convenient to stick all 18 engines directly on the boiler than to attempt to move the steam around with liquiducts. Unless you have an aesthetic reason to keep the boiler separate from the engines, it's likely to work better to just use a redstone energy conduit to move MJ around than to use liquiducts to move steam around.
