Tossing out a thread for fellow sanguine casters to review their spells/sigils and why they use them the way they do. Might be that some of us came up with creative uses for otherwise mundane or ineffective spell combinations.

So far one of my favorites is Ice wall. (Defensive - Ice Block)

Archers and Ghasts are my favorite, instant barricade while I figure out the best way to handle them.

While I was setting up spells I couldn't seem to find a use for Defensive - Flint and Steel or Defensive - Water, suggestions?

Are there any good guides to Blood Magic? I'm watching KirinDave's (Dave Fayram right?) ResonantRise series, about 12 episodes in, and I also have a Tier 3 altar setup, but I'm not really sure what to do. What's eventually cool about Blood Magic? tia

@Ako_the_Builder done a really good guide on blood magic
Also, WayofTimes thing he done on the forum post has really good detail.
And we also have #bloodmagic on espernet which you can bug us in for help :)

FTB wiki also has good blood magic coverage, I think most of it is copied from Way's thread, at leas I haven't found much in the way of missing information.

An yes the new spell stuff looks shiny, I haven't played with it yet - or much beyond some of the basic sigls, but it is only a matter of time...Mwahahahaha... erm..ya

I'm learning from Ako and the forums myself. What's cool? So far the sigils and lava crystal. I'm only now starting to dabble in rituals and spells. Running my TE machines off of a pair of Steam Dynamos and lava crystals. Woe be ye who runs out of LP while they're running.

I'm a little leery of powering my base via blood magic, at least until I get passive generation going. I have been using the lava crystals for all of my non standard 'smelting' needs like the slag furnace and the alchemical furnace.

And the sigil of the green grove works (somewhat buggily) with magic crops and harvestcraft. Joy!

I have done the nausea walk of shame back to my cabin a couple of times now. Wasteful steam dynamos get me every time. And indeed it does, it also works on Natura redwoods...which is awesome. I about killed two of us when a friend was planting one and I strolled on by to 'help'.

Always a good idea to bring a blood orb with you in your knapsack, just in case.

That was an issue until I made my Sigil of Holding, sooo many Sigils, so few slots. And it's fun to explain over mumble that my workshop is trying to kill me for being neglectful.
