Blank screen on logging into servers

Just installed FTB, and it works fine up til i log into a server. it goes through the login, and seems to work - i hear music, and my friend says it states that i logged in - then i get a black screen and it crashes.

Tried reinstalling, i'm running java 6

Please don't bump threads. It's rude to others waiting for a response.
Also some mods consider it to be a violation of Rule 5 (fyi)

You should be using java 7
