trying to set up monster on a server for some friends but it seems to be a touch too monstrous. Any suggestions on the biggest resource hogs to clip out?

I'd like to keep these "core" mods - ic2, buildcraft, thermal expansion, thaumcraft

It's really only the ocean world gen of mariculture that's the 'hog', and oyster rendering.

Rotarycraft and bigreactors can cause FPS issues on Low End computers when you look at them.

I should specify - the bottleneck is in the server, not the users' computers. We rent a server from beastnode with 2-3 gigs of ram, and it has been running horizons well. We restarted and switched to monster, and it won't load up. What I can glean from the rapidly scrolling server log is a multitude of out of memory errors, so memory lack is a possible cause I want to explore. There are no file problems, because I can load it on my home computer. then again I've read posts where people say they run monster on 2-3 GB of RAM so.. maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree

I've found it's worst when you force tons of inter-mod work in a tight area; an area of my base is full of rotarycraft machines powering engineer's toolbox stuff all plumbed by ender io feeding into an ae system sitting on top of a big reactor... that area is not kind to fps -_-
