Quick question - I stumbled upon a MystCraft age with Liquid Cyanite lakes and my obsession with liquids in modded Minecraft made me collect a drum full. I thought hey pump it into a smeltry and collect some ingots... wrong. So back to my question, can I turn the liquid into ingots some how?

Can't be done, unless something changed. The rods only accept blutonium and yellorium/any uranium equivalent. Cyanite needs reprocessing to be put in a Big Reactor.
Not worth harassing them for something this minor. Might just make an inground pool of it, it is a great looking crystal blue. Speaking of which, where is the diving board mod?
