You can find this on the internet, just look for some wikis. I think for copper is around 55, tin is around 35, iron is everywhere, gold and diamond are around level 12, and emeralds I dont know, I found two in my game and I have a huge tunnel bore machine, that gave me more that 300 diamonds already...
im on my phone and wiki goes all messed and stuff i don't want to exit minecraft my computer takes years to load minecraft
and im trying to make the mining well tunnel bore direwolf made but my metals are crazly low.
they're usually found around plains, extreme hills.
I wish Mojang would make a moutain biome with stone and snow and some dirt.

For me, personally, I'm partial to Y=63. It gives me a great view of the water and everyone knows waterfront property is the best for accruing value over time. I know the people down the street prefer high Y values so they can base jump, but I'm not into that stuff.

All packs have the same ore heights (all FTB packs at least).

Not >64 at all. Emeralds spawn between 4 and 32 in Extreme Hills only (vanilla). No clue about XBXL spawning though.
