Even LP Boilers can probably produce enough steam to power an Industrial Steam Engine (though not as many of them as an HP Boiler.) Though those are more expensive and pretty much equivalent to 2 Commerical Steam Engines from what I understand.

EDIT: Just to clarify, though, I think one Industrial's cheaper than 2 Commercial, but one Commercial's cheaper than one Industrial. Hobbyist's you might want to avoid if you have a Boiler set up.

1 max size LP boiler can support 9 Industrial Steam Engines. I don't know about smaller ones though.

HP would be easy to work out as well, since it is just double what the LP can handle.

Also remember that you need Pipes to input all the Steam the Engine can handle. I think you might need Liquiducts for Industrial Steam Engines.

As I recall, each 2 lp boiler blocks makes enough steam for 1 commercial (iron) engine, or half an industrial (steel) one. Or 2 hobbyist. You get the same mj/tick out regardless, but it's about what you can afford.

The hobbyist doesn't need a rolling machine (or a boiler, for that matter), and the commercial doesn't need steel. Those are the only real differences.

You could just attach the engines directly to the boilers.
