Yeah I see them under JSON shaped as well, but with TechWorld 1.1.10 and Monster 1.0.9 they don't work for me. Are you using a vanilla crafting table? something else maybe?

I don't like it either, I went back to ic2 jet packs and use gregtech recipes for MPS so other people can get a suit if they want. At least the ic2 jetpack makes you lose armor protection.

You can configure MPS pretty well so that's nice. Increase power costs, reduce armor points per piece etc

Have you tried a Thaumcraft 4 armor kit ? The Thaumostatic Harness is powerful, but it lacks armor and you can't take flight mode for granted. You have to "recharge" it with warded jars of Potentia.

I've use the IC2 Nano suit, Gravisuite, MPS, and now TC4 and the TC4 setup is my favorite. It's not OP nor is it tedious to craft like Gravisuite. I do, however, miss the customization features of MPS.

Monster 1.0.9. Works just fine in a crafting table. I believe the crafting table is technically from XACT, but it's the vanilla recipe. I've never had any issues crafting anything from MPS.

I do like tc4's flight but don't usually use the magic mods. Thaumcraft in General seems to be a pretty good mod for balance IMO, maybe I'll try it. I heard there was a change to research too, seems it's not as time consuming.
