How would you change a bees preferred flower? i have end bees but cannot breed them due to lack of a dragon egg.

If you have gendustry grind expendable drones until you get the flower trait. Then apply that trait to the ender bees. I think you can do the same with extra bees, but gendustry seems easier to me.

1. Cross breed it with another bee species that have the desired flower trait, do this enough times and refine the result long enough till you got the desired bee. This is after all how it works in RL as well, although grossly simplified in MC.

2. Use the Extra Bees Tier 3 machines to break down bees with desired traits in order to get vial with the desired trait, then inoculate it unto a princess and drone of the species with the dragon egg dependecy.

3. Use gendustry(never played with this myself, so dont know the details, but apparently its a lot easier than the other 2 options. Some argue that it bypasses the whole mechanic of beekeeping, but I guess you should be the judge of that yourself. I think I will try it out, but I do think I will stick to the above methods.

Without a dragon egg, crossbreeding will be tricky. Every time you end up with a princess with a dragon egg flower you'll have to set her aside and get a new princess. But maybe that will be a good use of all those ignobles?

Yeah you have a point there. You would need a lot of drones to mate with some other kind of princess which requires other flowers. :p
The manual breeding method was also only really meant for the original forestry bees I am sure. The time required to do it with all the ExB bees would be enormous, which is of course why Binnie added the machines to manipulate traits. ExB does it rather balanced though as it still requires a lot of time and power to do so. From what I hear Gendustry not so much.

I will second the extra bees suggestion.
rocky or meadows bees will have flower-rock, or flower-flower.
not sure what bee has "none"

run spare drones of these through the isolator to get the serum you want.
use a genepool to mulch excess drones into BNA to fill and purify that serum via the synthesizer and purifier, respectively. you always want "excellent" quality serums.
finally use the inoculator to change the traits of your bees. don't use a queen, as the serum only affects the queen for that once cycle. keep the drone/princess in until the machine is totally done with the bee- it will take at least two work cycles to change both the primary and secondary traits.

since you are at ender bees I will assume you have the rather large power supply to run these machines.
