When I try to breed it says: Hostile environment - Machine or inhabitants cannot work in this biome.

What does this mean? I'm far away from my base and it keep telling me Hostile environment... :(

e/ I'm also trying to get my Marshy Queen to do her stuff, but it keep telling me that I haven't put any flowers. I have 50 yellow flowers and around 10 roses, what's up lol

It means that your current place doesn't fit the requirements for the bee. For instance the desert bee (Mundane Bee?) likes it hot and dry, it doesn't work in the normal temperature of a Plains biome. The Wintry Bee likes it icy, it needs Temperature Tolerance UP 2 (or Both 2) to work in plains. Some bees like it humid etc.

One approach would be to check their temperature and humidity requirements before you start breeding and if necessary use the Acclimatizer to adjust. (Needs to be done for princess and drone both.)
You can add:
Sand: Decreases humidity requirement (for example from Damp to Normal)
Water Cells: Increases humidity requirement (for example Arid to Normal)
Ice: Decreases temperature requirements (Hellish -> Hot -> Warm -> Normal)
Blaze Powder: Increases temperature requirements (Icy -> Cold -> Normal)

Or, if you are into genetics already, extract "Temperature Tolerance Both 3" and "Humidity Tolerance Both 2" from your bees and infuse them with these properties as necessary.

The "flower" type each basic bee needs is different. Desert bees need cactus, water bees need lily pads and Marshy bees need mushrooms, not the standard dandelion/rose types.

Also it says hostile environment because you're in a biome your bee doesn't like. Marshy bees need normal temperature and damp humidity iirc (you can check the climate/humidity by looking at the icons on the right hand side of the apiary interface). You can breed all these traits out of your bees by mixing them with bees from other biome types.

One last thing, if you get yourself a beealyzer you can check all these traits in your bees before you breed them :)
