So, I've relocated everything, and just getting it set back up. I've expanded my automated apiaries to 15, and now housing them in a tower. I can fit 3 more inside the footprint. Up above on the next floor will be 5 alvearies. (yet to be built) One chest I've made for the drone overflow, and the other for the bee products. These will eventually be piped off to a production facility automatically, but for now, it is manual.
The way my system is setup will only work if every apiary is filled with extra drones. if not, drones from an adjacent apiary will end up there when it overflows. As long as there are extra drones in the apiary, any overflow drones from other apiaries will be correctly routed to the chest as that is the only valid destination. To completely separate the bee hives would require additional piping as well as a transposer. I could technically paint the tubes the same color on top and a different color on the bottom. It would work exactly the same way, but different colors are easier on me and trying to figure all this out logically.
I'll post some additional pictures once I have it prettied back up.
