After seen a really nice online program to generate a bee lineage tree (http://plornt.com/bees/) i decided to make my own.

The program can save the bee lineage as an image.
It does make a folder on your computer to save spreed sheets to, but these are to load the bees. (They will update whenever there is a new revision)

It can be downloaded here: http://mak001.x10.mx/Bees/downloads/
It needs Java 7 to run (along with an internet connection the first time it is run).

You can view the the help/FAQ pages at http://mak001.x10.mx/Bees/FAQ/ (can also be read directly from the program from Help -> FAQ)

Please post suggestions, if it is possible i will probably put it in.

Pretty cool. About the only thing I would love would be a way to search what the bees produce. For example I want the bees to produce oil it would be nice to know which bees can. Then I can go from there to breed the bees needed.

That looks good mate but from the looks of it its working off the 147 build, now rocky is only +1 both, but its looks like a great tool to help any one new to bees, gg keep it up.

How do you get the bee data? I find that sites like plornt always need to be double checked in NEI since the mutations change from version to version. If this reads from the Minecraft install somehow that would be great.

I used https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...29DN0cyam45Mlo5N3c&f=true&noheader=true&gid=0 to get the basic spreedsheets. I'm not sure if i can hook into the game data to load the bees, i didn't even think about doing it that way.

Now that i think about it, i should give some credit to SunnyDaze.

Well, I said it wrong. Nei itself works, but there is no plugin for bee/tree breeding

I'm thinking the real trick you need to solve is how to get the data from the user's actual game. For example I just started playing on a FTB 152WGT server and again the data on the "Master Apiarist Database" is now out of date.

Since the actual recipes are only know in the game at run time, maybe the best solution is pair this with a Minecraft mod that will dump the data from the user's game. The user runs Minecraft and from the main menu there is a new button labeled "Dump Bee Data" which will then create the spreadsheet that your app uses. Genius.

Or work with the author of the NEI bee plugin and ask them to provide the data dump functionality.
