Hi server owners!

Im the owner of bedcraft, just wanted to share my plugins. There are no other plugins or fixes who can do this. Does you server use TOWNY or GRIEFPREVENTION? Can people bypass the claim easely? Dont you want to ban a shiteload of items?
Then this is the plugin for you!

This plugin can fix alot of stuff in these ways, preventing to be placed close to the claim & blocking the interaction. It check if there is a claim in the area and if the player has permission to build. The owner can use the stuff in his own claims and towns!

YOU NEED TOWNY OR GP TO RUN THIS PLUGIN! The config is 100% ftb ultimate ready. Other mod pack servers need to edit the config.

This is why I steer clear of servers (well, this and i'd have to follow rules).

I think what dave meant, was the fact that people want to play on these public servers so badly as to instate all these (Probably very useful) plugins and such, merely to prevent the Ignorance of others from effecting thier own play.
Yet they cannot find a white listed or friendly server where these are not needed.
And also, the fact there there are people out there, who "like" destroying others work and deliberately annoying other people - how is breaking something if someone's else's any better than creating one if your own.

Dave himself is the owner if the Resonant Rise testing server, and everyone there is part of a very friendly community, and we all respect each other, and seemingly has become accustomed to it - a player, Corjantje, thanked Dave recently for his work, and Dave was seemingly mystified by how gracious he was - he didn't seem to acknowledge how rare communities such as ours were.

The fact that these are needed is kinda atrocious, however done they apparently are needed, and you have done the work to make hem compatible, we are gracious - probably.

Well this fix all that stuff of 'Stupid' people. Im not here to say public servers are better but with this you will be safe and able to use all those items without caring.

Public servers have more players and can be better for team playing, I know a private can be more fun but I like public more for PVP and such.

Not that I can tell. It has multiplayer features but... That's a tiny sliver of an enormous mod. Indeed, its more of a co-op mod. Making high-tier spells is a ton easier with friends.

It does however have certain spells, such as disarm (Spasms of the uncontrollable hand is its real name, but that could be understood... Others meanings.) and blindness (flash of scarlet flames) that only work in PvP.
Blindness only effects players, and the disarm thing only works on players, not on Skeletona or Wither Skeletons for some reason.
And really, considering how tactical a lot of the speed tend to be, and how few spells oponant NPCs use - the tower guardians are strong, but only spam Arcane Bolt for example, players are the only ones on whom spells can truly be used to their full potential - a basic fire bolt one shots most mobs, and a jolt/ender bolt also does and are spammable (shoot instantly) so mobs aren't a problem - a Twilight Forest Naga is killed in 3-4 normal ender bolts., and the hydra in a few more with a bit of accuracy, the only mob in the game that must still be fought as intended, is the Lich - nukes, lasers, magic, all impervious in its origional form, where one must play Tennis with it, and this battle is actually rather Zelda-Esque...

But yes, several teams of opposing mages, with few other mods, in an exclusively magic based pack - Twilight Forest, Ars, Damage Indicators, and possibly Natura and BoP, to spice up the nether, would make for an excellent PvP magic pack, however demand for such is low.

I think it was primarily a discussion on PvP in Minecraft, and a peaceful server was brought up as an example against the point if PvP, no advertisement/taunting intended.

But seriously man, we appreciate you work at making Public servers stand able, and "safe".

This belongs in Server Admin area, not here. In general FTB chat I would guess less than 10% of the people run a server.

I think you need a new slogan. "Fix 75% of all griefing" is like stopping 75% of the nuclear warheads aimed at your city. Avoid the numbers and use words like Major, Serious, Significant, etc., that people can equate with near 100% even thought it isn't.
