Base Defenses

So I was wondering what you guys are going to be using for base defenses on your Unleashed world ?

This can either be for ssp to keep mobs about or smp to keep sneaky players out , or both ?

i used uninsulated hv cables, to create walls and mfr fabricators to create energy dump to keep energy flowing trough cables.

The only thing that keeps players out is a MFFS forcefield. Everything else can be sniped with a mining laser.

Mobs, of course, are far easier to take care of. I prefer tesla coils

If by players you mean griefers on open servers you cant stop the pro griefer as these guys use hacked clients & mods to undermine most any safeguards, if you mean to stop players inspecting you stuff while your not there on listed servers mff is the only real option, but really if you dont trust the players on the the server your on, your on the wrong server.

For mods unless your using a mod that forces night time attack waves there no reason to have base deference.

I generally use torches for mobs. For players I use trust and maturity.

High walls with overhangs.

Why would I want to keep players out?

Pressure plates with dispensers and healing potions. I have a wall with an overhang with spikes at the top to kill spiders, and creepers get pushed away from the walls of my base by snow golems, so that I don't ever get a creeper coming around the corner. (Silently, anyway)

Well I play on an open server and you can never be too safe so what about warded blocks or bedrock ? Also have you guys seen ziesto's latest mindcrack episode ?

I use tree bases and sky bases to keep people out

I build it inside of the tree so it looks likes a tree

I find with a jet pack is isn't that hard ! I often have people snooping around because even if you have a hidden base the people will see your name tag ! Luckly I'm a mod so I can vanish[DOUBLEPOST=1375623614][/DOUBLEPOST]Best defense is to cover your base in bedrock !!
