Barrel Bug

I can't seem to find a solution to this problem on the interwebz, therefore I come here to ask anyone that is willing to help about this barrel bug I have stumbled upon. SSP. Ultimate Pack 1.0.1.

STEP 1: CRAFT BARREL
STEP 2: PLACE BARREL
STEP 3: PUT ITEM IN BARREL (stack/1/64 stacks/over 64 stacks/any)
STEP 4: HIT BARREL ONCE
STEP 5: NOTHING COMES OUT? WUTZ?
STEP 6: HIT BARREL AGAIN
STEP 7: STILL CONTENTS REFUSE TO EXIT BARREL
STEP 8: HIT BARREL REPEATEDLY WHILE BUILDING FRUSTRATION
STEP 9: STILL NOTHING

I can break the barrel in creative. I tried spawning in barrels. Didn't work. Works on servers but not my SP. No idea why. Halp meh?

Try switching out of adventure mode.Typical mistake.Most probably that's the case.

I still wonder how people do that. You can't say you didn't see the date! If you went back 50 pages in the forum section, of course you will come across thread that are months old!

The only thing that I can think of is people being used to sorting topics on an old forum. They just click and sort like the forum they're accustomed to. Oh well. He was helpful, just late. Poor OP had no replies anyway.
