Banning items from modpacks

Hello,

I would like to ban certain items from the modpacks. For example the Buster Shots from Xeno's Reliquary.
I checked into XReliquary.cfg but it doesn't allow disabling items through it. So I was wondering if there is any other way to disable certain items?

Certain mods do not have config files yet for different items. You could wait until the mod gets a bit older, they might get a config file.

Not sure how exactly can you install that. I tried adding the whole common folder to ftbserver.jar, didn't work. Then I tried adding the .class from common to the root of ftbserver.jar, but that didn't work either.
Or perhaps that just doesn't work with FTB Ultimate.
