Hi everyone, this is my first post, and I had a world for some weeks now and it's like I lost it. But it's not like it's deleted, I still have it, but whenever I try to log in, I get a lag so bad i have 0 fps, I have a lag like 1 frame every 10 seconds average. I really want that world back :( I had two pieces of quantumsuit armor, advanced jetpack, mfsu, bunch of advanced solars and hybrids, max size iron tank full of lava, blaze, cow, and zombie pigman T5 Soul shards, a quarry, three stacks of diamonds, stacks of gold, 16 stacks of iron blocks, extra dimensional barrels, nether lava pump, like 20-25 overclocker upgrades, 2 recyclers recycling a whole 2 edsu barrels full of cobblestone, and lot of other stuff. I spent hours working on it, and i can't play it anymore cause of the lag. I was taking quantumsuit boots out from my MFSU to charge, and I just put my legging in and i got the lag. hopefully someone can plz tell me how to fix it.

i was on peaceful and i did press F3 and it said both entity counts were below 100, about 70-75 each i dont see why that would be a problem cause i am able to handle like 500-600 entities fine, with maybe a very low fps, but not 1/10 fps[DOUBLEPOST=1366835167][/DOUBLEPOST]

and of course i did have plenty of space in my leather barrel, it was an edsu, and i was voiding my beef

500-600 is very high and can cause problems. Up your RAM allocation. If you have RP devices running, collect them and place them again possibly.

On the server I play on, we had a big time server lag because of redpower.

Basically, if you have a redpower system that receives from something that is continuously on, there can be a lot of items that are stuck in a machine somewhere.

In our case, it was something like 20 000 stacks of logs.

That would also explain why the entity count is so low and you still have lag, because items in pipes and tube systems don't count toward the entity count.

well i did have a system that recycled a bunch of cobblestone from my quarries, i had a hybrid solar panel on an electrical engine ( i know, huge waste, but i ran out of advanced panels) and all gold pipe going to the top hopper of four, which would feed to 2 recyclers with 9 overclockers each, fed by my mfsu, being transformed of course, but the real thing causing the lag i think is, if the items dont go into the hoppers, instead of popping out, they would loop around and try and go in again, so i basically have 1024 stacks of cobblestone, minus what i already recycled, causing lag. 1024 entities in pipes. luckily its probably fixable by waiting it out, my lava will run out, yes, but i hooked up some solars to my mfsu so i will be able to fix my world hopefully. but if anyone knows how to speed the process up, plz tell me[DOUBLEPOST=1366855373][/DOUBLEPOST]
Any error on the log?
whats does that mean?

One thing I can say for recycling is "Ingenuous extruder". Maybe followed by "void the unwanted stuff right at the quarry output".

I'm dead serious here, voiding dirt/gravel/cobble only costs a diamond pipe and a void pipe, that you put between your quarry and the ender chest (or similar system) you usually put.
It will save your fps a bit (less entities in pipes), as well as greatly simplifying your sorting system, as it will no longer be clogged by all the cobble.

Just create cobble where needed with the ingenuous extruder, it won't dost you a thing to make it run (apart from the initial resources and the initial bucket of lava and water), and produces a steady supply of cobble.

If you think one won't be enough, add a second one, that would still be far more efficient.

You just need to pop it on top of your recycler, setting it to output from the "down" side, and you won't ever have to worry about overflowing the system with this problem.

Let's just but the brakes on the horse-y for a second here and respond to what's going on instead of our fabricated scenario.

We don't know if there's an item jam somewhere, because the OP cannot move in the indicated world.

@OP: Try this. Load up FTB, and then load the world that you're having trouble with. As soon as it starts to display that world, hit ESC and wait for the game menu to come up. Select 'Save and Quit to Title' and when you arrive back at the title screen, load up the problem world again and see if the lag issue is resolved.

ive done that several times but it never fixes it. what i think i need to know is a fast way to get 1024 stacks of cobblestone out of my system when i cant even move. i created a very bad setup, and never made any world backups, so if someone can tell me how to fix that i would love that

Well, if you could at least more a tiny bit, I would say to put barrels/chests/void pipe.

There is always the possibility of resetting the chunk, or the region, but I guess you don't want to loose your base in the process of getting rid of the lag, right?

Plus, as Enigmius said, it's not 100% certain that this is indeed the source of the lag or not.

very good idea, i am going to hook up like 10 of those to 2 recyclers, 5 each, but the problem im having is 1/5 to 1/10 fps, and i have a question, do items in pipes or pneumatic tubes despawn?

Unfortunately, they don't.

And even if they did, it would be based on ticks anyway, not on IRL time.

The first thing i would do, is try to slam down the graphics to the bare minimum, and use Optifine to see if the lag is at least temporarily resolved in order for you to be able to at least move a bit in your world and try to pinpoint the problem. Second thing i'd do, is check for chunkloaders. How many did you use? How many chunks are being kept loaded? Third thing i'd do, is check how many Mystcraft dimensions you created, and if any of them are running. Twilight Forest as well. They all can cause memory leaks, which can cause huge lags and even corrupt saves. Also, what do you have running on the End and the Nether, if at all? Lava updates from pumping lava can cause absurd amounts of lag, but i never saw it spill over the dimension, it only ever happens to me whenever i'm actually near the lava.

i did lower the graphics, but it doesnt really make a difference. and how do you install other mods to ftb? and i dont have any mystcraft ages, not after i lost a world because of it. and i didnt go to the tf yet, and the lava in the nether im not pumping atm, and i didnt go to the end
