So I'm using the Tech World 2 Mod pack and when I login to a friends server, I start to lag really bad to the point were I can't move. Everybody else on the server has no problem playing on the server. After the crash it tells me I ran out of memory, even tho I have set the RAM Maximum bar in the options set to 3 GB. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

If you have a 32-bit version of Java installed, it is likely the culprit. It only allows you to allocate 1GB of RAM total, even if the launcher claims otherwise. I'd suggest uninstalling any 32-bit version of Java you have and installing the latest 64-bit Java if you haven't already.
