So... As an avid user of backpacks and a type of player, who refuses to use quarries (blasphemy!) whilst obtaining riches, I cannot get over a somewhat forgotten implementation of other mods' items into Forestry Backpacks...

So I decided to somewhat fix that and add those IDs to their respective inventories, which I seem suitable as a drop, that clogs my inventory.

If someone else would like to use this as well, go ahead and copy this to your /config/forestry/backpack.cfg.

backpacks.miner.items=4362:6;371;1488:1;2001:*;30128;2402;688;
backpacks.forester.items=2403:1;3124;2404:1;
backpacks.hunter.items=27000;
backpacks.adventurer.items=1485:*;1486:*;14360:*;

EDIT: Forgot the thaumcraft shards! Change the MagicBees.cfg file in the /config/ folder.

S:backpack.thaumaturge.additionalItems=23262;25263;25263:1;25263:2;25263:3;25263:4;25263:5;25263:6;25263:7;25263:8;25263:9;25263:10;25264;25264:1;25264:2;25264:3;25264:4;25264:5;

If nothing else, once I screw something up with my game folder, I can safely copy this back and have an easier time playing.

You know what's an over looked aspect of Dartcraft? The amazing backpacks. They're similar in function to forestry packs but you can edit what goes s inside with item cards, not configs. It's pretty awesome. They're capacity can be increased with upgrades.

So, yeah. Just even more fyi. No need to fuss about with configs. No need to be restricted period by backpack type. You can even rename and recolorthe dc packs.

;)

I really wish the Tinker's Construct Knapsack would keep its contents when it's dropped upon death--it would make it SO useful. :(

Extra Utility's golden bag of holding is another great option - a double chest with no item restrictions or upgrades to mess with at the tip of your fingers. They can't keep stacks filled or anything like forestry/dartcraft bags, but they're great if you want easy storage space.

That's the reason I don't use it. It lulls you into carrying a lot of valuable items with you constantly. One death taught me not to trust them when I lost all kinds of AE equipment and TiCo gear.

I filled mine with Diggers Backpacks, and I swap them out as each one gets filled with with the huge amounts of cobble, dirt and gravel I generate as I punch huge tunnels with my TiC hammer. A knapsack full of backpacks is a lot of cobble. Nearly twenty-six thousand.

Now imagine every one of those backpacks filled with Compressed Cobblestone. :eek:

...speaking of which, Compressed Cobblestone (and all of its variants) should definitely be included in one of the backpacks--maybe the Builder's Backpack? The basic level should be allowed to fit in Digger's, though, just so it's easier to compress and store on the fly. ;)

The only problem I have with that is that it's difficult to compress cobble on the fly. I'd either have to carry a minium stone. or portable crafting table. Both of which get annoying after my inventory starts to fill. At least until I have the resources for an Ender Pouch/Chest.

Wasn't there a Dartcraft module thingie that would auto-craft? So with ExtraUtils, you could have it auto-craft the higher tiers of compressed cobble automatically.
Yes and it works great to make you don't care about cobble during mining. Unfortunately now I'm playing with underground biomes and I don't want to compress all those different stones to the same cobble.

Personally I always use the Backpack Mod, I love everything about it especially being able to bind a big worktable backpack to my 'B' key, its a project table on the fly. Also the big backpacks are just massive. They don't have the auto pick up or refill but I can deal with that for massive storage.

I miss canvas bags. I like the forestry backpacks for early game resource gathering, but switch to an enderpouch as soon as I have some basic auto processing & storage set up. Right now I have 1 for tools & things I don't want to loose if I die, 1 to input into my ore processing, & 1 feeding directly into my AE system so I don't overload my ore processing line by dumping a full inventory while a quarry is running. I also use the TiC knapsack for extra inventory space & things I might like to have available but could afford to loose. Getting enough enderpearls to get my enderpouch/chest/tank set up early is one of the few things I actually use the minnium stone for.
