So I went to the nether last night for the first time since starting an unleashed world. And wow, was it a doozy.
I spawned I step out , and I could here a Ghast, 2 of them, and I could here fire bats, the Ghast saw me, took aim and let em fly. I was trying to avoid the two fire bats, the incoming Ghast missiles and all of a sudden, I'm swimming in LAVA!!! Apparently, the portal spawned under a lava flow coming down from the ceiling. so it took it a few seconds to make its way down to me.
As the Ghast bombs are exploding and I am on fire and the fire bats beat me to death, i jump back in the portal and as it is halfway through swapping over to the over world, I die. So i re spawn in the over world at my bed, head down to the spawn and low and behold there is most my stuff, suhweet. I put on my armor, grab more cobble and head back for more. My thought process is to try and stay on the edge of the portal and lay some cobble cover down and try to get out.... yah, that didn't work so well, the game did not like me standing half in the portal, getting shot by Ghast's and lava flowing around me, I exploded, I died, my stuff portaled back through and then the game crashed.
So I restarted, and when I did it respawned me at my bed. I went back through the portal again, and made it out the other side of the portal, no lava, but still, the Ghast were just nailing me. It was at this point that I tried to just dig quickly, and get under ground and survive.... but ... I dug about 4 deep and then...... fell through into the lava lake below!!!
So I respawn, grab some more cobble and head back. I get through and start to quickly try and build some walls, and this time, I get about 15 blocks out.....psss boom. Nether Creeper. This one explodes, but I live!! however, my portal does not. Now , it is no big deal, because I only have about two seconds to compute in my brain what to do when Ghast Bomb blows hits me, knocks me back into my hidey hole of death and I fall to my death. and to add insult to injury, I don't even make it to the lava below, because another Ghast fireball hits me mid fall and I die.
Respawn....grab cobble, and head back. This time I was ale to get through, get walls up, and survive for a while. I get cover up and around the spawn and decide to go back to the over world vie portal for the first time, all the others have been via death, and get myself restocked and armed and such. I go through the portal, step out and I am standing in the middle of a forest I have never been. It created a new portal , about 300 meters south of the original portal. Whilst I was trying to get my bearings , I was hit by a skelly arrow, and Pssssss BOOOM exploded by a regular creeper and died.
It was at this point that I respwaned, saved the game and turned my computer off and went to bed!!!
