Hello, I was wondering if there is any possible way to automate the Minium Stone in FTB ultimate. I know you used to by putting a railgun power tool in a deployer at a mob spawner.

Absolutely. You can use any right click area weapon in a deployer to great effect on weakened mobs (a drop trap is good for this). The railgun is an easy choice if you're on 1.0.2 or later. If you're on 1.0.1, you'll want something like splash potions of harm/health or glowing water. The trick is automating collection of the resources needed to craft your chosen weapon (or enough power to keep the railgun charged).

My own setup for 1.0.1 uses glowing water. I have an array of bees to produce glowstone and redstone, an mfr sludge boiler slowly producing sand for glass (backup in case I stop quarrying deserts for an extended period of time), and a smallish nether wart field tended to by a smart straw golem and a wood golem. I have a deployer on a slow timer filling vials with water. Most of the crafting is done within my ME network and the result is exported over to a deployer sitting at the bottom of a drop trap. The deployer is on a 3 minute timer (to conserve glowing water) and at the top of the trap is a tier 5 wither skeleton shard (I'm also automating nether star production). I have an item collector dump into a chest which sorts out the stuff I want to keep and sends the rest onto my recycling array. A crafting turtle gathers experience and enchants a book once it stores over 30 levels. And most important of all I have a lever that turns the whole thing off because tens of thousands of minium shards, thousands of wither skeleton skulls, an entire diamond chest full of diamonds and more enchanted books than I will ever use is quite enough thank you.

However, if you're on 1.0.2 or later and actually do have access to the railgun upgrade for the power tool, chances are you can just breed the minium bee. Because bees can do anything.

Are you not able to pulverize/macerate cobble for sand in Ultimate or am I missing something?

Which is? I haven't touched ultimate.

Plop Cobble into a Macerator or Pulverizer, you'll get Sand in any modpack which has TE or IC2.

EDIT: Oh, I sorta got your question reversed ... yea ... now to try to figure out why you were asking it in the first place. \Puts on Sherlock Holmes hat

EDIT 2: I noticed the unbolded font and not the bolded. *Facepalm*

Yes, Siro appears to be slightly idiotic. Or we're missing something.

I assumed that just about everyone has knowledge on cobble -> crush -> sand, and since I have little to no experience with Ultimate, I assumed I was missing something really obvious.

Holy moly that sounds incredibly cool.

The rail gun is a module for the Powertool, so if you searched NEI and couldn't find it, try hiding a Powertool in uourninv and opening a powertinkertable.
Rail gun will be one of the options of your on 1.0.2 or later of Ultimate.
