Hello, I have been working on a Nuclear Reactor for my GregTech machines. As you can imagine I need uranium cells, so I built myself an Automatic Canning Machine (like NEI told me to). My uranium and empty cells have been in it a good ten minutes without making any progress. I've never used this before and need some help. Do the two buttons on the bottom left make any difference?

Umm...
XD.
XDDDDDDDDDDDDD.
The canning machine is for food.
You need to combine refined uranium and an empty cell in a crafting interface to get uranium cells.

The Automatic Canning Machine is a different thing than the Canning Machine. While food is one use for the Canning Machine, it's not the only one. The only way to get thorium cells is by putting an empty cell and thorium dust into an automatic canning machine. I presume it's the same for uranium cells when GregTech is present.

Must depend on your GregTech version and/or configuration. In Ultimate 1.0.1 with default configs, the crafting recipe with refined uranium is disabled. Looks like the industrial centrifuge is the way to go, though - bonus plutonium, thorium, and tungsten, provided you have 16 uranium dust to feed it.

Wrong, you can get thorium cells by centrifuging depleted uranium cells.

never thought about this, my reactors are burning thorium and plutonium. although the recipe for the near depleted cells is still active. but that will change with 1.5.

and for thorium and plutonium, the autom. canningmachine works just fine.

EDIT: does the canningmachine accept uraniumdust? since it processes thorium and plutonium as dusts (there are no ingots... but there will be some).
