Just got into tree farms... 2 minutes ago. And to my abject horror, the trees from biomes o plenty dont work on Minefactory reloaded autoplanters. So what options do I have to trying to automate sakura trees/darkwood/ghostwood farming? Just need butt loads of logs for my house. =(

We're actually working with the BoP guys to make this work. I can't promise you an ETA of when this will be done, though.

Thats great. But it still doesnt provide a solution for now. I have a ton of mods at my disposal at the moment however, and dont mind downloading another. The wood from the 3 trees is needed and I have no idea of any more complicated paths that I could take. =(

Well, yeah, I know that doesn't actually help, I'm sorry. I just wanted to say that we're aware of this and trying to solve it! :)

Those are all Natura trees FYI. Steve Carts tree farms are able to handle them as of recently IIRC. You could also write a fairly simple turtle program for trees like those. If you can't/don't want to code search for a program that generally handles birch trees and it should work for those trees.

Hmmm...Turtles to cut down tree and replant the saplings and wooden golem to pick up drops?

Natura trees (like the ones you mentioned) are already working with MFR planters if you have the latest versions of both mods.
And oh god the sapling rate is insane. Hello Biorreactor

Oh my god. I could kiss you. I needed to update natura. (I also didnt know these were from nature. Sorry power crystals. But I still await BoP support for willow trees.)

That said. Bioreactor? I put in 1 tree to test and got 7 saplings. >> This is gonna get ridiculous I think. What can I do with excess saplings? Dont need to give me stepbystep. But Ive honestly never done anything for energy outside of solar panels and geothermals/lava.

Oh, yeah, Natura supports MFR on its end now.

The bioreactor takes anything the planter can plant and turns it into biofuel. The more kinds of things you can get it to process at once (up to 9) the more biofuel each one is worth.

Interesting. Guess Ill play around with it. Never automated anything outside of item goes in, item comes out. So lets see how a bioreactor and what not works. read up on some of the blocks so now its time to just play around.
