Hello guys,

I have a bit of a problem with an automated furnace system that i made. I am using an electric furnace powered by solar cells to smelt orberrys that are fed to the furnaces via cobblestone pipes in the bottom. The system works until the inventory for the furnace becomes full. I had thought that it would just send the excess orberrys back through the pipe but it spites them out through the top. I would like some suggestions on how this can be solved. I would prefer not to use obsidian pipes all around the furnaces to catch the excess oreberrys and feed them back into the system if possible. I thank you in advance for your responses.

Make an iron pipe loop. As in an iron pipe on each side of the pipe that goes into the furnace. This way anything that doesn't go in will just bounce around till there is room.

If there are too many items in BC pipes, the items will go poof, and make a loud boom.

Yea it's 100 by default IIRC. Shouldn't be a big problem for a single type auto-smelting system.

It gets annoying REALLY fast. Especially coming from your room with GT machines, including a Matter Fabricator.
Just make sure you aren't loopy, and then you should be ok!

On topic, I think if you want to keep your system how it is, use a gold pipe, insertion pipe (or similar), then an obsidian pipe. You only need one obsidian pipe, because the gold pipes will accelerate it so that it goes by (exits) very quickly.

You could have a turtle handle it - either pipe stuff into its inventory or to a chest it can access. It can feed stuff to the furnace every now and then and either hoard excess berries or throw them into another storage system.
