Auto unloading of Backpacks?

I've only just started using backpack like the miner and digger one and I'm loving them but I'm wondering if there is a way to automatically pull the items out into a chest after a mining session.

Normally I'd be quarrying by now but the let's play I'm doing is focusing on rotarycraft and I'm not up to the automatic mining in that mod yet.

Hold the bag in your hand and sneak right click the chest if I remember correctly

If you are referring to Forestry Backpacks, you might have to set them to "yellow" mode (ie, down arrow) before you can shift-click them into a chest.

No the yellow down arrow is the "resupply" mode that will keep stacks of items in inventory at 64 at all times with items from backpack.
As Fireweaver says, all you need to do is to put the backpack(in an mode except the green up arrow(and possible the locked)) on the hotbar and shiftclick on an inventory like a chest with it.
If you shiftclick with it while in green up arrow mode it will fill itself with relevant items from the clicked inventory instead.
