Any variants of making this without melee turtles? (which are banned) Partial automation is ok (meaning that I must kill the slimes). Digging out a huge area over a maze isn't a solution, as I'm trying to do this on SMP. Auto-Spawner Maze Slimes seem that they don't drop any Charm.

Conveyor belts into a dispenser actuated drowning trap? Press a button to kill the slimes, press another to drain the trap?
If you have the spawner, you also have the grinder to flip on and kill them, then flip off.
