Asset hash checking failed: All modpacks

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title:
Asset hash checking failed: All modpacks
Launcher Version:
1.4.8
Modpack:
All modpacks (pretty much)
Modpack Version:
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
Resubmitting this one.

For almost every modpack I get the 'Asset has checking failed' error.
It says practically everywhere It's a firewall/antivirus problem, however I deleted all protection programs from my computer, leaving me only with windows defender and firewall which are shut off completely. Shut down my router firewall completely. Still this won't work.
Tried connecting via cable, via wireless, changing all sorts of settings, make sure java goes through firewalls (that is anyway off) and nothing seems to work.

The two modpacks I was able to install (not sure why) are Test Pack Please Ignore and Crash Landing.

I would try to re-install the launcher but I'm afraid that I might not be able to reinstall Test Pack Please Ignore which would be a shame since I'm actively playing on a server there.

Please, anyone, help with this, this is really frustrating..

OS: Windows 8.1
Antivirus: None (only windows one, which is shut off)
Firewall: Windows Firewall (off).
Java: 8, 64-bit (My CPU is 64 bit of course)

Okay, I've managed to bypass this.

I've installed the curse launcher and used that to install and launch modpacks from feed the beast.

Tested this on Refuge and Infinity and both seem to be working fine.
It may not be as 'comfortable' as simply using the regular launcher, but this works pretty great.
