I have built an essence nexus, crafting altar, and made two spells, but, the essence nexus though i have it built hasn't popped up in the book.

The Arcane Compendium in the unlocking mode is kinda... strange. It may not make much sense what unlocks when, honestly. Some things are tiered, others unlock when you kill some foes, and it drives me mad. I have the whole crafting system ready before I'm a mage, FFS!

You have to do things in order sometimes so if you run and do build essence nexus before you got any information of it's existence then you may not unlock it. Try build it again now than you made some spells and it should work.
