Hi,

I can't seem to find a way to read information from the new TE Energy Cells. Buildcraft gates don't seem to register the energy cell at all, and Computercraft Computers don't seem to be able to read anything, even with OpenPeripherals. I'm using the DW20 1.6.4 pack with the 1.0.7 update.

Anyone have any tips on monitoring energy levels in the new TE Energy Cells?

Thanks!

Somewhere over the rainbow.
Would love informations also, I normally have some information panels from the IC2 Nuclear Control addon to read what is in the cells but if we can't monitor them anymore, I'm at lost here, also tried a basic gate and it doesn't have any kind of reading, it will be a nightmare to automate my assembly table and lasers (since they always draw a bunch of power, I normally require a redstone signal for the energy cell to be active, now I don't know what I'll do if I can't use the (as work) condition from a gate to keep the power loss to a minimum...

could def use some info on these - Been trying just about everything to make my advanced computer to read a energy cell from TE...Tried with a computer besides the cell, with cable between (CC's cable), a proxy... Nothing works.

What's going on?

Comparator guys :)

emits a redstone signal with a signal strength of 0 if empty and all the way up to 15 when full.

Assuming the computer is right next to the cell and using redstone.getAnalogInput(), I don't see why you'd need the comparator.

Depending on the version numbers involved, the TE cells may or may not emit a signal.

The energy cell does not output a redstone signal, a comparator can read its storage level and output a corrospending redstone signal. So, unless the computer/turtle can do the same function as a comparator thats not gonna go and work ;)

I think that version of the pack has an unfortunate version of OpenPeripheral, with most of the peripherals not working. You should be OK using computers with an updated OpenPeripheral.

Not so much "unfortunate" as just "plain old".

I'd recently read otherwise, but admittedly not tested it. My bad.

Seriously hope they will get supported by Nuclear control and BC gates in near future. I used those in combinations tons of times in old builds.
