These 2 mods [Archimedes Ships & Thaumcraft/Thaumic Tinkerer] play together well, just remember to rotate the arcane bore base after you rotate the ship. A lot of work to set up, but great for mining in the deep dark. Note: TE's ducts & conduits do not like to be moved, so put them in a chest when going mobile. I haven't tried it, but I'd expect trying to move with the chunk loader attached would also crash the game, so pop that in the chest just to be safe as well.

I've installed a thaumic restorer to repair the picks. The necessary essentia tubes can be moved as part of the ship with no problems.

You may use Rotary Craft bedrock pickaxe:)

It seems the config for Archimede was slightly modified:) You need more baluns.

I've thrown Archimedes Ships into the DW20 pack, so no rotary craft for me. From what I've read, default is 40% balloons, but it can be altered in the AS config file. It feels like a higher percentage of balloons will move faster, & too few will definitely sink to the ground. There is a recipe for an engine block but I haven't seen anyone use it & it doesn't seem to be necessary so I don't know if it makes any difference. The balloons will burn if lava gets anywhere near them, so be careful, keep extras on hand, & keep your airships out of the nether! :)
