Just a quick question, I have an Ae network setup, i'm making a new base and want to connect to it. Problem however is new base is in the sky, while the current network is on the ground. Is there any possible way to connect the sky base to the network other than just running a ground cable straight up in the air to it?

Not really, you need a physical connection or (if the distance is short enough - 32 blocks when fully boosted) you can do it wirelessly.

If you only need specific items from the AE network to be available in the skybase, you could always run an export bus to an ender-chest on the ground with its twin in the skybase.

Wireless is fine if you just want to access your terminal to request things, but if you need to connect to machines in your new base, you'll have to run a cable up.
