Title Applied energistics meteors spawning out of control

Details of the issue SO! I just made a server today to play ftb with my friends and I cant figure out for the life of me how to get this thing working correctly. I have it running the modpack, but my problem is that I cant figure out how to get my world to use biomes o plenty! I think I figured it out and I started a new world. The world had new biomes! Success! But then I look around and see dozens of craters in teh ground. Literally everywhere you go there are applied engergistics meteors. What causes this? How can I just get my server running correctly! I just want to play with my friends and it isnt worth the struggle im going through. Could somebody help me with setting up my server with biomes o plenty without having hundreds of AE craters?
