So far I like the XyCraft fabricators to handle my storage block solutions. Not having to automatically pipe out of the ME interface is a nice touch, but I lack sufficient quartz to fully realize the system for some time to come.

Thanks for all of the awesome suggestions. This mod, and you guys, have really got me thinking

I thought that setup was for autocrafting things as they're called for in the crafting inferface? What skirty described above is similar to our setup currently.

I'm pretty sure that an export bus can create a crafting request, because recipes can have craftable dependencies. So export to an intermediate chest then re-import. Just be aware that this makes AE substantially more power hungry.

But, AE is really not a great solution at the mouth of your processing funnel; it's more expensive than every other kind of system. Using it this way will probably only lead to heartache.
