Apiarist's Pipe - did something change?

I run an automated alveary setup as follows.

1 - Wooden transport pipe + autarchic gate ( red-stone signal off / energy pulser)
2 - Apiarist's Pipe -
  • Yellow - Anything (wood pipe side)
  • Green - Anything (ender chest side)
  • Blue - Any Bees (alveary side / touching alveary)
3 - Ender chest - supposed to send excess drones and combs for processing.

Up until recently all bee went back in to the alveary on being pulled out by wooden pipe, with excess drones following the combs onto be processed. Recently the Apiarist's Pipe is sending drones and princesses on for processing not trying to put them back into the alveary.

I always thought Apiarist's Pipe logic was to try to route named items first and the anything was the last destination to route items to. Did something change recently? Is this a known bug/glitch?
 
I was having an issue with the Apiarist's Pipe pipes I would somethime lose my bees. I now use Ender IO Item pipes because they have an option to self feed when they pull the items out of the alveary.
 
Thanks for the advice. Seems I suffered a brain-fart. The day things stopped working was the same day I added frame housings. In my trouble shooting I failed to notice I had plugged the Apiarist's pipe in to the frame housing. So no wonder the pipe stopped working as before.

This thread can be closed now that it has been revealed to be pointless.
