i'm looking for a cheap full size block that keep mobs from spawnin, but i dont want it to be shiny at all ( aka no xy-stuff ) i think microblocks might work but i cant have a filler place them how i want.

may be asking a bit much but i'd like it to be very plain , since it is just gonna be a landing pad area.
it'd be best cheep simple cause the area is 8 by 16 chunk ^^;

You can use RedPower Microblocks (as you stated in your OP) to cut up a crapton of cobblestone or dirt (stone bricks if you want it to look nice) into half slabs. The fun will be placing all those
