Request Anyone managed to get optifine to run with 1.10 unstable (build 4.2.5)

As it says in the title really. Never used optifine before, but wanted to give it a go as my sugar cane farm, pig farm and cursed earth mob farm are starting to tank my frame rate a little when everything goes off at once hehe. I did try creating a second instance of 1.10 unstable to point optifine at (incase it knackered things) but when i use the instance folder as the end of the install pathway, optifine says no 1.10.2 version detected).

Have you read optifine's installation guide?

B. Simple (for OptiFine 1.6.2_C4 and newer)

- Put the OptiFine JAR file in the Forge "mods" folder

- Start Minecraft and Forge should automatically load OptiFine
