Heya,

I'm trying to find a few people who are willing to team up with me to finish this modpack I've been working on:

The modpack is called Nuclear Fallout, and is a reworked version of my original modpack (same name), just a lot more streamlined, stricter and thematic. The previous modpack had 80k+ downloads combined in the few months that I had it on my server.

The basic idea is the modpack takes place a few hundred years after a nuclear war, where most of the population has been wiped out. (A bit fallout inspired :p). There are lots of wastelands, but the planet has had time to regenerate a bit so we got a good amount of regular (specially chosen ones) biomes inbetween.

I've already put tons of hours into this, thousand of minetweaker script lines and even a few custom mods. The main point is that the modpack isn't supposed to be easy, but everything thats in the modpack is useful. The earlygame is especially altered as you are encouraged to use conveyors, rails and railcraft to do things until you get a bit further into the pack. A big part of the pack is also a very difficult Galacticraft. Some ores have been moved to other planets.

There is a ton more stuff thats already added or has been changed but I don't want this to be 12 pages long. If you want you can check out my website and read a bit more into it.

The modpack will be featured on our server once it's finished, we have a website, a teamspeak, and lots of other things already set up. A serverpack will also be released.

Now what I'm looking for:
16+ (I'm 23 myself)
People to help with beta testing, toss ideas around, discuss changes etc
People who actively want to work on the pack, scripts and adding/removing mods
Anything else you think you can help me with :)

Hello,

I'm interested if the offer is still up. I'm 15 and had some experience in making modpacks, however I'm still new to scripting.

Funny, this post is from February and you post now, it's funny because I have just started working on this project again 2 weeks ago :p

I've actually worked over that concept quite a bit and will be creating something even bigger, with a similar theme. (A spiritual successor so to speak)

However right now not much has been created in terms of gameplay yet. I'm working on writing a couple of mods currently, and also waiting on a few mod updates (namely buildcraft and railcraft).

It will probably be a few weeks before even the earlygame is somewhat implemented.

This might be a little stretch for me since I've never actually worked on any type of public pack. But, I've had some experience writing MT scripts. The hardest ones were involving creating entries in the Thaum. I also have a dedicated (not a VPS) server available out of OVH.com that could be used for testing if needed. The server is paid for up front for the year and isn't due for renewal until Feb next year. That said, I'm more of worker bee, but I might be able to give an idea or two here or there. I take it at this point this pack would be for 1.10?

Yes the pack will be for 1.10, no point in starting a pack for 1.7 at this point. Since I'm also writing custom mods for it (3 smaller ones are done already), it wouldn't make much sense otherwise.

I have a public server with a few of my current packs, and more than enough space on the dedicated box for a few test servers, but thanks for the offer!

I've been working on the design document for the pack, but I've usually worked on this kind of stuff alone so I'm not "that" far yet lol. Documenting isn't my strong suit. Much of the later game concept will also differ somewhat from my former pack since a few mods are no longer available, so it those parts haven't really been decided yet.

I've been thinking of setting up a discord server with a couple of different channels for the different people that want to help, I don't really want to put everything out in the public just yet because I don't want a similar pack to steal all the glory :p Would that be something that works for you?

It could. I have a TS3 server that I run. No public access but there are few friends that can acces it as well. I currently don't have discord but I could install it.

Ah we stopped using TS3 months ago because of the crappy quality compared to discord.
Tbh I didn't really think of the discord as a way to talk to people, it's great because it has chat, easy picture/screenshot sharing, easy to post & pin documents, etc. Lot easier to discuss stuff, post screenshots of what ur doing, and have an actual history of what was said. Like a private mini forum :p
