I have tried three times to pump items into it, with no luck.
Tried Lava and today in a new world (creosol).
Items go up to the valve, but will not go in.

Remember that if your valve is placed on the 2 bottom-most levels of the iron tank multi-block, they will default into being output only... Try moving the valves a bit higher on your setup and see if that fixes the problem...

Are you trying to pump ITEMS into it? Or liquid?
If you're trying to pump in capsules of some sort, I don't think that works with iron tanks. I tried it myself and it didn't work anyway. But if there is supposed to be a way to do it, someone please correct me!

Incorrect, have all of my valves on the bottom layer of the tanks, and you can input and output into those, but Only valves in the bottom two layers can be both, any others will be input only.[DOUBLEPOST=1362636932][/DOUBLEPOST]

My solution would be to convert your liquid items into liquid through a liquid transposer, then pump that liquid directly into it, I never thought you could pump items into a railcraft iron tank

Is your iron tank correctly forming the multiblock? In other words, do you get a GUI if you rightclick it?

If not, you probably made a mistake in building the tank, such as:
- Choosing an invalid size - only 3x3, 5x5, 7x7 and 9x9 are allowed, with a height of minimum 4 and maximum 8 blocks
- Placing valves or gauges on the frame (the edges) of the tank - only the basic walls are allowed there
- Not leaving the insides empty - you only need to build the outer hull, the middle part needs to be empty, much like a coke oven

sometimes (I experienced that once or twice) the multiblock structure just doesn't form without reason. then the only way is: break a part down and assemble it again.

the easiest way to see if the multiblock structure forms is: watch the glass-tank blocks. after inserting the last block, they should melt together forming larger windows.

and of course the GUI shows up if you click on it.

You have written "items" twice so I think it's not a writing mistake. An iron tank is for liquids not items. If you want to put cans and such things in it, you have to right click upon the gui and put it in manually.

Not true, I have all my input/output valves at the bottom layer of my tanks and it works perfect.

Thanks Guys. I had the tank size 6x6. I now have a 7x7 and it works.
Now a new problem. I tried to use the liquidducts and they do not work. I Right clicked with the wrench.
I am now using waterproof pipes, they work, but I would like to use the liquidduct pipes.
Any help there.

Just a bit of a clearer version of the post above me, Liquiducts when right clicked with the wrench and having the arrows on them only pump when there's a redstone signal, otherwise they simply act as a one way tube.
