Any way to update to AE rv10.x?

Applied Energistics rv10 requires 1.5.1, so is there any way to play FTB with this, or will I have to wait for the 1.5 pack(s)?

Wait for 1.6 or use MultiMC and make a DIY pack. The forums are full of guides on how to do so.

That might be beyond what I'm capable of, sadly. Why wait to 1.6 though? Won't it be in the 1.5 pack?

There's nothing definite on when an official pack will come out. Even if a 1.5.x pack comes out it won't be recommended as a pack to use unless you expect issues. The last word suggests that the next recommended, minimal problem FTB official pack won't be available until 1.6.

I put together my own pack from just info on the forums and it contained all of the mods that are "popular" right now. It didn't crash and I had no issues. You can do it too. Any custom stuff and problem resolution may be difficult, but give it a shot first at least.
