Any way to break down / recycle Railcraft blocks?

After a failed attempt at producing lava via igneous extruders and magma crucibles, I now have a 9x9x8 iron tank that is sitting empty and useless. Is there any way to break down those Railcraft blocks into iron again? Or am I stuck throwing them into a Recycler and hoping for scrap?
 
Railcraft Blastfurnace will melt them into steel. You probably won't get as many ingots back as you spent, but it is better than recycling them. You may want to save it though in case you want a tank for some other liquid like biofuel/biomass.
