I've got a level 5 soul cage and six grinders and I'm using transfer nodes and transfer pipes to output to a steel tank in order to store it and I have a ender tank which transfer some of the essence to a auto spawner. The setup works but god does it transfer liquids slowly. All of my essence is back logged at the grinders and even though it has more then enough to transfer it does so maybe... Once or twice every five minutes?

So I'm wondering is there something I can use to transfer the essence to my steel tank and ender tank in a quicker fashion. I was thinking of using liquiducts but I don't know if that would be a good idea.

One possible way is to try adding some speed upgrades/world interaction upgrades to your transfer nodes.

This wouldn't require you to redo your system, and should speed it up quite a bit.

World Interaction upgrades wouldn't do much if transfering from a container, I think you mean a stack upgrade, which ensures the node fills it's buffer as completely as it can whenever it pulls from an inventory (or tank). I beleive with fluids a sorting pipe (the one made with gold) will empty the node completely rather than have it half-empty itself. I could be mistaken on that though. That said, by the mention ot liquidcuts I'm assuming 1.6. and i'm not sure 1.6 has stack upgrades, in which case all you can really do is add more speed upgrades.

Use Liquiducts(guessing you are on 1.5.2 if you got liquiducts). They are much faster/more server/PC resource friendly.
Transfer nodes work the way that they have to scan every single length of pipe for every time it have to transfer anything. If you upgrade it with speed upgrades it just scans faster(potentially using a lot of resources doing so). Liquiducts inputs fills a buffer and outputs then exports from this buffer. This way there is no scanning going on all the time.
If you have very short pipes and doesn't upgrade their speeds too much that is fine. But else Liquiducts/Fluiducts are vastly superior.

Tesseracts or ender tanks should do you well. Since both the grinder and steel tank will auto output you will be in good shape.

The best answer is to use another ender tank to shorten the distance from the nodes to the steel tank. Essentially the time is problematic of the distance they're needing to search to find the tank to dump into.

Is EnderIO included in your current pack? I suspect your in 1.6.4 since you mention liquiducts and I'm not sure how that mod was back then, but right now (current releases) it's very convenient for grinders. You can connect item output, fluid output and power all to a single side of the grinder. The highest tier of fluid conduits transfer 800 mb/t, which should be plenty.

Liquiduct->Fluiduct change was made from 1.5 to 1.6. So suspect he is on 1.5(probably Unleashed if he has Extra Utilities transfer nodes).

there's also the option of using the liquid translocator from the translocators mod.
you can speed it up by applying glowstone to the outputting translocator.
