Anyone know of a mod that adds any blocks for bee storage? I know ExtraBees has the indexer, but I haven't found anything beyond that.

If there isn't one, I wouldn't mind taking a crack at trying to write my own

Just wondering, what is wrong with the Indexer? It sorts, and holds to infinitude! You can pipe in and out, and it's not terribly expensive either.
Knowing me, I'd probably make a couple of drives in AE for my bees (if I ever get into bees....or AE....or consistent power generation....).
What are you looking for?

The indexer is great, but with the crazy number of bee species, it would be nice if there was a good option for displaying bees and organizing them.

For example, I'd like to build a bee storage room -- something like barrels that work for species but holds a couple of princesses and maybe a few different stacks of drones. Currently, I store most of my bees in an indexer, and then use apiarist chests with signs for special bees (i.e. genetically modified for production, super breeders, etc.)

I guess what I'm looking for is more like display cases, as opposed to pure bulk storage, which the indexer does fine.

once you get the serum for the species keeping a ton of bees is pointless as you could make them into species as needed

If you really want to display, try BiblioCraft. It'll display anything for you, though it's more of a "for show" mod.

Etho in his latest video added a wall (literally) of gold chests, and in each one 8 types of species with signs on both sides.

well, I just found a reason to not use an indexer. I hooked it up to my auto-bee setup, and it's filled with drones, and now it has so much drones that whenever I try to open the indexer, I crash -_-

IIRC this was a bug with version 1.5.0.6 (the one in ultimate? Sadly the post about the ultimate pack doesn't tell the used version numbers.)
Try updating to 1.5.0.6b

yea, I seriously dislike it that you can't see what version the mods are in the packs, they even changed the title of mod files.
I know you can still check inside the archive and look for a changelog but still... but thanks, I am indeed using the Ultimate pack, I'll try updating.

No clue why they changed it so the version numbers are gone. For what it's worth you can see the version number in the mod list in game.

k, I update the mod, but it still crashed me. I am thinking it's because I had so many bees in the indexer that it couldn't handle the data.
so I just hooked up a transposer with a timer and got the bees out that way, after some time the number of bees was low enough for me to open the indexer again without crashing.
