Ok Guys

So our Public server has a new Issue, we have made peace with fact that after a certain amount of people on the CPU will max out with he way the current modpacks are,

But our new issue is a large amount of AFK Players, now normally i would not have an issue with this but the fact they are wasting CPU other players could be using this is now an issue

I have looked every where
im not comfortable loading either ForgeBukkit nor ForgeEssentials on our public server yet not until we test it further

any one know any other options?

Not sure why you're uncomfortable loading ForgeBukkit. It's fairly stable so long as you're just using Essentials as it's been directly ported and tested to work with ForgeBukkit. Maybe you should reconsider?

forge bukkit ? don't you need mods to be ported to bukkit first to use that ?

Sorry, it's technically called BukkitForge (based off an old project called ForgeBukkit). And no, you don't need anything to be ported to anything. BukkitForge allows you to directly install and run Bukkit plugins on your Forge server (hence the name).

This is something I have never heard of. I took a look at the BukkitForge page (https://github.com/keepcalm/BukkitForge) but it doesn't look like this is, at least at this point, in a format that most Minecraft server admins can digest. Functionality is important, but accessibility is much more paramount.

MCPC is cool... but the plugins have to be ported to use MCPC. The only hope we have at this time is that the Forge Essentials project comes out of Alpha sometime soon.

I read and understood it just fine. I'm running Essentials, PEX, Vault, Mineconomy, ChestShop, and WorldEdit with absolutely no problems. Furthermore, the developer is currently making releases every single day. I reported a bug and had it fixed within a couple of hours. Not really sure what you're talking about.

I will be the first to say that you come off combative... none the less... anything that requires me to "decompile" is incomplete. A finished product will be modular and mostly "plug and play" with FTB. How about instead of implying "I DUN GET WHY U DUN GET IT" you provide something useful like instructions for how you set it up, version capabilities between this and Forge/1.4.6 or anything tangible.

first off, you mean compile. second, there is a link for Jenkins on the first page that you come to aliasxneo posted for the github.

I'm completely aware I come off that way, and it's certainly by choice (I served for my freedom of speech!). First of all, this mod does not need to be decompiled. There are several compiled releases available on Jenkins, one of which I am using with the plugins I listed. Yes, it's still a WIP mod, I never said anything about it being a finished product. There are literally hundreds of mods and Bukkit plugins yet to be tested with BukkitForge, so it's going to take a lot longer for it to even be remotely considered a 'finished' product. However, I am active in #bukkitforge on EsperNet and know that keepcalm has continued to work on fixing the current bugs on a daily basis.

However, BukkitForge with Essentials is quite stable at the moment, enough to where I would be comfortable running it publicly. Seeing as that was my original recommendation, I really don't see what your issue is.[DOUBLEPOST=1357366063][/DOUBLEPOST]

Remember to post all issues on his GitHub project page. He's had incredibly fast turn-around time for fixing bugs.
