Amount of ram needed

I'm running a direwolf20 1.6.4 v1.0.11 server and I was wondering I have 3gb for the server but I needed to know if that's a good amount for 4-8 people. We have 4 loaded world one being full of quarries and people have chunk loaders. And can you set a limit on how fare the chunk loaders will load for certain ranks.

That should be enough memory. However, it would be wise to limit quarries as well. Quarries can murder a server, especially when full of water. The server I'm on prohibits using water in quarries for example. So encourage your players to use other methods, such as arcane bores from Thaumcraft or a tunnel bore from railcraft/a miner from steves carts. running on 6gb, have 100+ registered users now, about a constant 3-15 players online all day. We hardly get over 3gb. We can have 2000 mobs ~ 250-300 chunks loaded on average. Ill say, JVM's are a must

1.5-2GB is enough for 8 people.
