Except they didn't text on identical machines...

*Note: Before I get called out on this, I'm not a fanboy. I have an intel build and an amd build (cpu wise)

It's probably not in your best interest to listen to one man whose main concern is getting your views on YouTube.

Did you even watch the video? Obviously you can't use the same motherboard but each machine had the same RAM and same GPU which is all that matters.

I've seen many benchmarks where a i5 3570k/i7 3770k can match and even beat a FX-8350. An i5 3570k is faster clock for clock but obviously a FX-3850 has 8 cores.

unless the MBs have different memory clockrates, disk bandwith...

True. I didn't really take that into consideration but I just kind of assumed they'd use similarly rated boards in a situation like this and people wouldn't automatically jump to the conclusion that the reviewer would do that. I know you can't just take what people say at face value but I doubt they're going out of their way to push an AMD agenda.

The linked forum post says they used an MSI 990FXA-GD80 for the AMD and an EVGA Z77 Stinger mITX for the 3570k/3770k which are both top of the line boards

also just found this from them. Maybe they are pushing AMD but from what Ive seen so far, the numbers don't lie
