I got my light nexus setup, as well as a neutral one. I can't seem to power my essence refiner to make some nature essences. I have the wrench made, and I've tried connecting them both seperately to it, but no dice.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks.

What edition of AM2? I mean, pre-1.2 update, or post AM2 1.2 update? Helps to give details, even if I am apparently the only fella here who grasps AM2 and the power system in it.
Actually, just a tick, that'd be pre-1.2 update seeing your light nexus there. And you called it one.

So, best bit of advice I can give you is make sure you are giving it enough of the essence type it is requesting. If you have it running on light essence, dare I say, you may need to increase the output(aka diamond caps) and the amount of them. The Light Nexus has always been somewhat insanely slow. The AM2 1.2 update didn't change that.

Not sure what edition it is. I am using DW20 pack 1.0.23 if that helps. I went to diamond caps, from gold, and it seems just a a touch faster, but still really slow. Would you have a rough estimate of how long it takes to charge the refiner with enough essence to craft the nature's essence? or just essences in general? I'm at 25250, which is approximately 12% and the ring hasn't even started spinning yet.

Second question, how do you switch what nexus charges it?[DOUBLEPOST=1410323343][/DOUBLEPOST]I'm an idiot with AM2, LOL.

Honestly, I have no idea how long it'll take with just one diamond capped light nexus. Why? Because "Just one diamond capped light nexus" is about as effective as, say, 8 standard solar panels in IC2.
Hate to say it, but you may want to either scale that one nexus way up, or change it to either neutral essence(consumes liquid essence but packs a hell of a kick, aside from the kick, though, no real benefits, nor drawbacks), or if you're feeling crazy, a dark nexus(a mob grinder in fancy magic form, takes mobs and sucks the life right outta them. Runs better on tough ones, and so forth, but it tends to make things run like you have no safeties, aka things go wrong, and it occasionally generates darklings, a mob it can't consume, and they are fast and small litter buggers, and can hit fairly hard for their size).
1 light nexus is almost never enough power for anything is what I'm getting at. Diamond capped or not, they are slow and while one can upgrade them to moonstone caps, then they run only at night, somewhat canceling out the benefit of having the increased generation speed, since sleeping the night away is fairly normal.

And don't feel too bad about not being good at the AM2 essence system; in a great many ways, that's totally normal. If Direwolf20 was good at it, we'd all have no excuses to be bad at it.

I find that storing the light essense in Mana battery helps as it serve as a sort of buffer.

IIRC that changed in the 1.2 update. And come to think of it, IIRC AM2 has a 1.7 branch now, so... yeah.
Gonna check all this out again.
