Hi everyone, I thought I would show my world off and give an idea of how I play. I'm playing a custom modpack I put together, and I'm also balancing things as I find stuff with minetweaker and HQM. I like to play on peaceful since mobs would disrupt my way of play. And they're scary...

I got a nice base going, and it's about middle of the road. Enough for being able to experiment with most of the mods, but I still have a way to go. (It's also a little rough right now!)

I know, I put laboratory blocks in the middle of more subtle blocks...I really need to tidy things up.

I have one of the most difficult layouts I've ever done, I'm cut off by a mesa and water. Here's the map of the immediate area:
I like Mapwriter.

Then here's a couple pictures of the buildings I have, the flux is generated by a big reactor and a few solarflux panels that I just use to balance out the RF/t Applied Energistics and Industrial Apiaries require.

Then the interior of my main house, you can get a glimpse of the way I store my items before I replace all of it with Applied Energistics

I'm also making quests for fun, so if I finish with this world I can start a new world with quests to do! The next picture is how I like to do my quests:

I'm using the reputation system to make a nice twist on it. You start with basic things and build up reputation with that, and the higher reputation you get, more quests open up and it lets me apply what I started through the basic quests.

So that's my world, Hopefully the images work, I'm not the best with those...

Very cool base. Though that's a lot of space between the water and mesa. Unless you spread out a lot, it should be fine.

Looks very neat! The base reminds me of something I did in one of my first worlds. I'll see if I can add some more things to be played with in attained drops :)

Thanks Yusunoha! I tried the insert image button at the top but I guess it didn't work. Now I'll try inserting images directly and if that works, I'll edit the OP.

Sweet! The one thing that would be really helpful would be Blizz Rods support from Thermal Expansion, though that requires cross-mod compatibility and might be complicated xD.

Here's a few more pictures, starting with my Attained Drops garden:
upload_2014-11-17_13-57-21.png

Now for the more depressing pictures... I tend to create the functional items first, and decorate later. This has led to a couple of sad situations:
Applied Energistics. To the left is what remains of my factory after I ripped the Steam Dynamos out.
upload_2014-11-17_13-59-45.png

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!
upload_2014-11-17_14-0-55.png

My first house at the top of the hill. I'm not sure what to replace it with, though the trash can is oddly fitting.
upload_2014-11-17_14-2-19.png

And the tunnels, which go directly under the walkways in my little town, and supply Flux to each building and area I need.
upload_2014-11-17_14-3-19.png

So I'll give a little info on what I'm working on then! I'm currently enjoying bees, I've got 18 types so far, and according to the Apiarist Chests there's 275 non-hidden ones total. I managed to get a 2x fertility on a set of Rocky bees, I'd say that's my favorite accomplishment so far.

I'm also trying to clean up the place and fix all of those ugly areas. Included in that is creating an official building for Applied Energistics, that should look sleek and fun. I'm also converting my storage area into the Applied energistics format.

Speaking of AE, I can't figure out how to track the total RF/t the system is consuming. In AE1 you could just click on the controller. Could anyone help with that?
I don't want to end this post with the last picture being depressing, so here's a couple underground areas I forgot to show off!
The basement of the factory, with a resonant energy cell. The conduits lead to where the steam dynamos were, I'll probably just remove them. The orange conduit is from the Big Reactor. I use an openblocks elevator to go from floor to floor.
upload_2014-11-17_14-8-51.png

And here's how I store my bees! 64 species for each floor! I just realized I don't need a ladder for this area, so I'll be replacing that with more elevators shortly.

Craft a network tool and right click with it on a random part of your network :)
Thanks so much!

So I spent a couple hours creating a nice little building to house my AE network and of course, the controller. It's not quite ready to show off yet, I still want to put a few finishing touches on it. It's consuming around 33RF/t, and using 9 channels currently. It's got a lot of room for expansion, and I'm still working on making it look a little better.

In the meantime, here's a picture of a Rocky set I'm proud of manually breeding! (Rocky x Cultivated)

upload_2014-11-18_17-15-51.png

I'm not at genetics yet and I've forgotten a lot of the mutations, so bees have a nice feeling to them currently. I'm not worried about progression with them. I'm simply enjoying experimenting with them and each discovery has a nice feeling to it.

And to close off the day, I'll share how I edited my configurations and minetweaker.

Major Config Changes
Thaumcraft: No taint spread, disabled Warp, easy research(Even though it increases the aspects I need, it gives me an incentive to hunt for more nodes)
Big Reactors: RF generation at 0.5 of normal, I changed it as soon as I built the standard 3x3x3 reactor and realized it singlehandedly catapulted me into midgame. And a 5x5x5 still has no trouble with filling a single Resonant Cell... I'm probably going to switch on the steel requirement eventually.
General: Removed duplicate ores, with Thermal Expansion ores having priority.

Minetweaker
I have made two recipes, both concerning Solar Flux. I love the mod, solar panels are a lot of fun for me. But I felt like it was a little *too* easy for my playstyle. I want it to be a resource sink. So I edited the mirror recipe and the Solar Panel 1 recipe:
Mirror. Added redstone requirements and reduced the number of mirrors made from 2 to 1.
upload_2014-11-18_17-13-56.png

And the solar panel itself, I added two Invar Ingots to the recipe. This prevents it from being the first easy energy solution, and provides a huge iron and ferrous sink in the end. I removed the wood since the Invar made more sense to me thematically.
upload_2014-11-18_17-15-23.png

That's all for today!

I'm back with more! I've finished the AE building, and here's a few pictures!

Here's the outside, I built it right next to the factory. They compliment each other surprisingly well.
upload_2014-11-21_20-21-24.png

Here's the interior, I've fallen love with cable facades making those terminals flat screen. The building is three floors.

upload_2014-11-21_20-20-52.png

For those who noticed the glass, the top floor has a special function.
upload_2014-11-21_20-23-6.png

Those three water columns let me grow the pure crystals I need. That lever...
upload_2014-11-21_20-24-4.png

Safely floods the ground floor to let the seeds out. When I experiment with Thaumcraft I'll look into trying Golems.
upload_2014-11-21_20-25-14.png

Here's the basement, with the controller(s). The gap in the purple prevents the growth accelerators from draining 48RF/t. I tried using a toggle bus but couldn't get it to work :C.

As long as I get one reply between posts, I'll keep updating! That means at least one person viewed the content I made and entertained them for a few minutes, and many more with views. (And to avoid double posting)

*obligatory post* :p
Looks cool though, I like the juxtaposition of vibrant blocks such as the ae ones against the dark building blocks.

Yeah, toggle buses are finicky. It's sometimes hard to tell just what block you need to put the lever powering them on. I ended up making them a dedicated energy cell. I just plug it in when I need them, and unplug when done.

Huzzah!

I mostly played with bees today, but here's what I've got to show for it:
I am really glad I got the Rocky bees with 2x fertility, that sneaky Tolerant mutation tried to move it back to 1x on me >.> And yes, I have two industrial apiaries now!

Somehow I managed to get this tolerant set with a fast production speed too!
upload_2014-11-22_17-22-48.png

Next: More bees, starting Blood Magic, and doing my first ever infusion! What's it gonna be, find out next time!(I put magic in the title, and it's been tech focused so far)
